Terms of Service

Sudoku Arena is a free daily Sudoku game with shared leaderboards, available on the web, on itch.io and as a Discord Activity. By playing it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.
1. The game
Each day the game offers new puzzles and ranks players by their solving time. It is provided free of charge.
2. Your account
- On the web and itch.io you get a guest account stored in your browser. Keep your recovery code if you want to keep your history; it cannot be recovered for you if it is lost.
- In Discord, or if you link Discord, your player is tied to your Discord account. Discord's own terms also apply to your use of Discord.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account.
3. Fair play
Leaderboards only mean something if everyone plays fairly. You agree not to:
- use solvers, scripts, bots or any other automation to solve puzzles or submit results;
- choose a display name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone else, or advertises something;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or interfere with other players' use of it.
Results that look automated or impossible may be hidden from leaderboards. Accounts that break these rules may be renamed, have results removed, or be blocked, without notice.
4. Your display name and results
Your display name and results are shown publicly on leaderboards. By playing you allow the game to display them there. How your information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Ownership
The game, its design and its code belong to its developer. You may play it for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it. Sudoku as a puzzle is not owned by anyone, and nothing here claims otherwise.
6. Third-party platforms
The game runs on services operated by others, including Discord, and itch.io. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with them, and their terms apply to your use of their services.
7. No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available". It may be interrupted, contain errors, or lose data, including results and streaks. To the fullest extent allowed by law, all warranties are disclaimed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the game, or for loss of data, results or rankings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending use
You may stop playing at any time and may ask for your data to be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Access may be suspended or ended for anyone who breaks these terms.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continuing to play after that means you accept it.
